Sebastián Urli

Before joining Pitt, Prof. Urli worked as an Assistant Professor of Romance Languages and Literatures at Bowdoin College. He has taught an array of courses such as: Intermediate Spanish, Advanced Grammar and Composition, the Hispanic Avant-Garde, The Southern Cone Revisited, and Creative Translation. His research focuses on Southern Cone literatures and Latin American poetry with an emphasis on processes of subjectivity construction, autobiographical discourses, philosophical theories of the image, critical inquiries on posthumanism and ecocriticism, and the way these areas interact with translation practices.
